Sheet metal worker resume example

A chaudronnier turns flat sheets and tubes of steel, stainless steel, aluminium or copper into finished parts: tanks, hoppers, ducts, machine casings, aircraft panels or ship sections.

You start from a drawing or a 3D model, calculate the flat pattern (développé) taking thickness and bend radius into account, then trace and cut with laser, plasma or shears. The parts are bent on a press brake, rolled, formed and assembled by welding, riveting or bolting. Checks with gauges and measuring tools follow at each stage. Chaudronniers work in industrial workshops for food processing, energy, aeronautics, shipbuilding or nuclear, and some go on site to install or repair equipment, sometimes on call or in shifts.

Do I need nuclear or aeronautical certification?

Those sectors require specific training and site access rules, often provided by the employer after hiring. Mention any experience or certifications you already have, but never claim ones you do not hold.
