IT support technician in French

There is no legal diploma requirement for IT support technicians in France. The common qualifications are the BTS SIO (option SISR), the BUT Informatique or Réseaux et télécommunications, and the titres professionnels « Technicien d'assistance en informatique » (TAI) and TSSR. Certifications such as CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundation and Microsoft certifications are useful but not mandatory. Many jobs are with ESNs and outsourcing companies, and work-study is a common entry route. Most roles require spoken French. Search with « technicien support informatique », « technicien helpdesk », « technicien de proximité », « technicien service desk » and « technicien N1 » or « N2 ».
