In France, search for manutentionnaire, agent de quai, agent de manutention, chargeur déchargeur or manutentionnaire en logistique. No diploma or qualification is required. A CAP Opérateur/opératrice logistique, a titre professionnel in logistics or a sector CQP (food, chemicals) helps you move into roles such as order picker or forklift driver. Driving an electric pallet truck requires training and a driving authorisation from the employer, often supported by a CACES R489 category 1. Most hiring goes through temp agencies (intérim), with night, early morning and weekend shifts common in parcel hubs and distribution platforms. Employers must provide protective equipment and manual handling training.
