Production line operator resume example

In the French food industry, a conducteur de ligne runs an automated line that turns raw materials into packed products: yoghurts, biscuits, ready meals, cured meats, frozen pastries.

At the start of a shift you take over from the previous team, check the production order, the recipe settings and the stock of ingredients and packaging. During the run you monitor temperatures, weights and speeds on the control screens, take samples for quality checks, adjust settings when a parameter drifts and clear jams. Format changes (changements de format) and cleaning between batches follow strict hygiene procedures. You also record lots for traceability and carry out first-level maintenance. Most plants work in 2x8 or 3x8 shifts, often with cold rooms or controlled atmosphere.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between conducteur de ligne and opérateur de production?

An opérateur de production usually works at one station of the line. A conducteur de ligne is responsible for the whole line: settings, format changes, quality and coordination of operators. Use the right title on your resume to match the level of responsibility.

Is food industry experience required?

It helps, because of hygiene rules. Operators from cosmetics, pharmaceuticals or packaging often adapt well. Highlight your experience with automated lines and strict procedures, and mention any hygiene or HACCP training you have followed.

Should I mention OEE?

Yes, if you have followed line performance indicators. French plants call it TRS. Explain how you contributed to improving it, for example by reducing format change time or the number of micro-stoppages.
