Working as a construction labourer in France
Search for manœuvre, manœuvre BTP, aide-maçon, ouvrier polyvalent du bâtiment or manœuvre travaux publics. No diploma or certificate is legally required, which makes it a common entry point into construction, but you must have the right to work in France. Temp agencies are a major recruitment channel for this role. Every employee on a French construction site must carry the carte BTP, a professional identification card issued through the employer or agency. Employers provide protective equipment and safety induction, and adults can later prepare a CAP in masonry or another trade through training or validation of experience (VAE).
