Working as an IT consultant in France
IT consulting is not regulated in France. Most consultants hold an engineering degree, a master's in computer science or information systems, or a business school degree for functional roles. Vendor certifications (SAP, Salesforce, Microsoft, AWS, Cisco) carry weight because ESNs use them to sell profiles to clients. Most firms apply the Syntec collective agreement, and freelancing through portage salarial or micro-entreprise is widespread. Search for "consultant informatique", "consultant fonctionnel", "consultant SAP", "consultant AMOA", "consultant cloud", "consultant infrastructure" or "consultant SI".
